Afrikaans Homeschool Curriculum

by Elizna le Roux
(Wellington SA)

We are an Afrikaans family doing the Konos program through Oikos in Kwazulu Natal. We have been unable to find a suitable Afrikaans language program (for English we use LLATL and would love something similar)with reading that contain character building stories. Thank you.

Afrikaans choices
by: Wendy

There are very few living book/Charlotte Mason choices for Afrikaans families in South Africa, unfortunetly, but hopefully as more people homeschool they will begin to develop this type of program.

We use ADATA in our home, along with Afrikaans Sonder Grense and a selection of Afrikaans TV programs which we bought on DVD from SABC.

When our children were younger we watched Wielie Wallie and Heidi. This year our daughter who is doing Cambridge is watching Orkney Snorkney, 50/50 and others on Kyknet.
