Artistic Pursuits Grades K - 3

I am thrilled to find Artistic Pursuits Program which is divided into 3 books all for Grades K - 3. Being an artist myself I was looking for more for my kids than just cut and paste and color.

These books provide just that. They take the student through the eyes of art, asking for opinions on a subject and then giving a project. Using different mediums in each lesson from watercolour to pottery to sculpture to photography to digital art to watercolour pencils to acrylic to pastel to drawing to print making to carving.

There is a detailed list on each art item you would need to purchase for each lesson at the beginning of each book (most can be purchased from our local stationary shop, you don't need to have high priced art supplies.) It is a complete curriculum teaching artistic techniques, art history and culture, and it provides stimulus for unique artworks. Also, learning about artists and their works is built in.
