Caring for your bodyCaring for your body and getting fit and healthy is one of the greatest investments that you will make in your well being.
Taking time for the caring for your body and fitness...well...this is a tough one! Especially when you don’t actually like physical exercise.
But the benefits to your body will overtake then lack of desire in no time! But before we deal with the exercise take a look at yourself in the mirror!
When I left school I had figured it best to stay with what I knew. As I had also been involved in low key fashion modeling industry from Grade 7, I thought it would be best to stay in that field and studied beauty therapy. While I know now that most of that field caters for the vanity of woman, it has also helped me greatly in terms of grooming and being decently attired for myself and my husband. Click here for some tips for you - a busy homeschooling mom who has a full life, but needs to take care of herself. Now for the exercise topic. No groaning! (You sound like me!) Fitness is appealing, it’s just such hard work to motivate ourselves. I find getting fit is much easier in summer. Then I get up early and after my time with God, I get on my bike and cycle for 45 minutes as the sun comes up. In winter it is so dark and cold… So what to do? Ideas that I have tried now that my children are older: Pilates class, swimming in an indoor pool, brisk walks in the evening to raise my heart rate. I have a trainer that I can hook my road bike onto and cycle at home. Flylady has her treadmill. When my children were younger sometimes all I could manage was a brisk walk while pushing a pram with one strapped to my chest and the other two on bikes. Caring for your body brings these benefits: Another option which we have begun to implement now that our children are older is family style fitness. By this I mean that we find excercise opportunities that the whole family can do together. Mountain biking has become a hit as well as working out at the gym. Other families do weekend hikes together. The goal is just to make sure you find the time for your health and fitness - caring for your body - so that you can enjoy a stong healthy body.
