These family movies are some of our favorites. We like to have a pizza and movie night once a week for some frugal family fun.

I have arranged them in loose age categories to help you with your choice, but as with all things, please check then out at for yourself as your family's sensitivities may be different to ours.

Each one of these movies have had "issues" that we needed to speak through with our children but all appeal to our choices of viewing, even the animated ones!

Our teens have enjoyed all the above movies as well as the following ones.

My daughter has a wonderful horse movies section on her website where you can see some favourite movies for horselovers.

The movies in this category all have elements in them that parents need to be discerning about. I however have them here as I think all of them have valuable lessons to talk through with our older teens. There are scenes with violence as well as some swearing and often rather "intimate" scenes. This does not discount the value of the movie however and as always I do suggest that you prewatch the movies in these last two categories.
