Hands on Homeschooling is an activity based curriculum is ideal for a mom who would like a little more than storybooks and themes for their toddler or preschooler who loves to explore with their hands. We have used all of Terri's programs either in full or in part and are currently the South African distributors for this program.

The preschool curriculums range through ages 2–5 years.

Each year includes:

Readiness and Arithmetic skills

Science/Health,

Bible & Spiritual Growth

Manners and Personal Care

Music and Physical Movement

The older years include:

Reading Skills,

Sign Language,

Crafts,

Cooking,

Creative Arts

Computer practice.

Terri has laid out these large binders with all the lessons in tabular form, which makes for easy reading and knowing what you need to do when. Amongst the lesson plans, each year’s curriculum contains:

Prep & Planning for the year including ideas on organization and getting started

An overview of the year at a glance

Lesson plans which include weekly overviews and daily details

Alternate activities , worksheets and patterns you'll need throughout the year

An index of activities you may want to do again.

We found that the standard of the work was elevated thus we did the files one year behind the age required - i.e. we worked through the 2 year old file when our son was 3yrs.

A word of caution - if you are not a mom who like hands on activities, you may struggle with the preparation and cleaning up. We found that this program was a perfect fit for our hands on son, but it became overwhelming with later children when I had 3 older children to facilitate and a toddler to entertain. But we still dipped into it for certain themes and her wonderful ideas!

Needless to say, Terri's Hands on Homeschooling curriculum's are great fun and treasure troves of ideas.
