Not all children want to learn how to play a musical instrument and in my opinion this is truly fine. But I do think that all of us should learn to appreciate a wide variety of music. The beauty of all of them is that they do not assume any musical knowledge for parent (tutor) or child. Jean Welles has a fabulous series for you to use in your home to learn to play guitar. There is a series for kids as well as one for adults or teens. The lessons are DVD based which makes you feel like you have a teacher in your home.
