Organize your bathroom
Quick and simple tips to organize your bathroom.
Kids Bathroom
Create enough hanging space for towels either with hooks or towel rails. Train your children to hang these up after their bath.
Have a holder for toothbrushes and toothpaste so that the brushes do not lie on the basin. You can get ones that are wall mounted to save space.
Train your children to rinse the bristles and put the brushes in the holder.
If you have a bathroom cabinet in your children’s bathroom keep additional tubes of toothpaste, soap and toilet paper in it.
In this same cabinet keep your bathroom cleaner and a sponge for cleaning. Do not leave detergents or cleaning liquids
where little ones can get them!
As your last child finishes their bath - swish the bath out with the cleaner, hang up the cloth to dry and you're ahead on tomorrows jobs! Same thing goes for the shower if your children prefer to shower.
We keep our laundry basket for the children’s clothes in the shower behind a fishy shower curtain. This way there are no dirty clothes left on the bathroom floor. When the shower is needed the basket is removed for that period.
Get a shower caddy for shampoo and conditioner and other shower essentials.
If you have little children then bath toys can be stored in one of two ways. A net bag with a suction disc (available from most baby stores) can contain the toys and be stuck to the tiles on the wall. Or if you have a floor space available you can store the toys in a wash basket or something similar in a corner.
Adult Bathroom

In addition to the tips from the kid’s bathroom here are some other organization tips for your en-suite bathroom.
As an en-suite is an extension of your bedroom it is an idea to make them a
romantic oasis. I also find that
after a hard day one of the things I long for is a warm bath and the atmosphere of the bathroom is important for relaxing.
And all the more reason to organize your bathroom!
But first things first:
De-junk all makeup that is dated and old - remnants of lipstick and eye shadows that you cannot use anymore. Check your perfumes – many turn sour after a period of standing.
Clean out your bathroom cabinet of bottles of nearly empty lotions and potions! Same goes for your shower caddy.
Counter tops that are littered with goodies immediately give you a sense of chaos. Throw away the rubbish, put away the essentials. Clean countertops immediately make you feel like you have done a good job to organize your bathroom.
Aim to have only your soap, toothbrush and paste on your counter next to your basins. I de-clutter my counter tops every morning while I brush my teeth – kills two birds with one stone!
Again we have a laundry hamper in this bathroom for clothing so there are no dirty clothes lying around. You can find some really stylish hampers that can form part of your décor and will not be an eyesore.
Toilet rolls can be stored in a wicker basket.
Magazines can be neatly stacked in another basket.
Now add a basket next to your bath with some bath fizz-bombs or salts.
Candles are a much softer light for romantic evenings or to help you unwind – see if you can get a small group of differing sizes and shapes.
In your shower hand a body brush or scrub with a shower gel for the mornings.
NOTE: Do not keep medicines in your bathroom. Move them to the kitchen into a lockable cupboard or fridge. I hope these easy tips to organize your bathroom
have given you some ideas to help organize your home.
