Titus 2 Mandate
Titus 2:3-5 " These older woman must train the younger woman to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure,
to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God."
The Titus 2 mandate clearly charges a Christian woman to prioritize her life around loving her husband, loving her children and being busy in her own home. Why? So that we do not become the cause for “God’s word being maligned”. It has taken me years to learn this and am still learning daily how to do this in a practical way - even when the recipients of my love are sometimes harsh, angry or just disobedient. Added to these issues is the fact that as homeschooling moms we are busy just because of the way of life we have chosen. Our time is very much shorter that a mom who ships her children off to school with a kiss and lunch in the morning. Praise God that He made us creative in His likeness! We can pray to, and rest in Him as we practice self government and reach out to the hearts, little and big, in our homes.
Because of the Titus 2 mandate where older woman are asked to mentor younger woman, on the following pages you are going to find help for your
relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
And ways to
care for your own self
and become content - because “If mommy isn’t happy – then nobody is happy!”
